At the minute Christian Aid have an emergency appeal to help people in Sri Lanka and Philippines who have been affected by the La Nina weather phenomenon. Emergency Appeal from Christian Aid

In Sri Lanka the torrential rain caused by La Nina has forced more than a million people to flee their homes, claiming 40 lives with four people missing, according to the government.
La Nina has also caused heavy rains and landslides in the Philippines, where the death toll now stands at 43 people, with more than a million people affected, according to disaster officials.
The devastation is huge and we need to respond now to save lives. With your help, Christian Aid will provide medical assistance, food, shelter and non-food items like hygiene kits to thousands of those in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
