More For Christian Aid 02 Nov 2011

Over the last few years, a rocky global economy has made life in the UK and Ireland more challenging for all of us.
For people in the developing world, the challenges are even greater as steadily rising food prices have made it even tougher for people to feed their families.
With this in mind, the Good Little Company recently got to together with our charity partner Christian Aid to see if there was anything more we could do to help people grow food in the world’s poorest countries. We quickly realised that we could, so from 1st of November 2011, we will be raising our donation from 0.05p to 0.07p for every packet of sausages that you buy.
We believe this will raise around £10,000 more for Christian Aid in the coming year.
However, in the knowledge that there could be even tougher times ahead, we want you to know that this may buy one rather than two weeks worth of staple meals for an individual (as is currently the case if you consider the price of maize seed in Malawi) so we will be changing the wording on our website and packaging to reflect this reality.
We hope that you are still enjoying our sausages and are as excited as we are about being able to give more to Christian Aid. Watch this space for an update on some of the families that have benefited from all the money you have so far helped us to raise by choosing from our sausage range.
